Sources: 6 · Article: 11 310 characters

Ewa Dąbrowska writes that a fruit-and-vegetable fast may help restore fertility.

  • Ewa Dąbrowska points to PCOS and blocked fallopian tubes as problems for which fasting is said to support fertility.
  • Fasting is also said to help fight infections associated with blocked fallopian tubes.
  • Ewa Dąbrowska links fasting with beneficial effects on the health of women who have had recurrent miscarriages.

Ewa Dąbrowska

A fruit-and-vegetable fast may support the restoration of fertility and serve as an alternative to conventional treatments.

„A fruit-and-vegetable fast may help restore fertility. Compared with conventional infertility treatments—such as medication, surgery, or in vitro fertilization—a fruit-and-vegetable fast is a natural, non-invasive, and holistic alternative.”Post warzywno-owocowy może wspomagać przywrócenie płodności.

For PCOS, fasting is said to reduce insulin resistance, insulin, and estrogen levels, and support weight loss and normal ovarian function.

„A fruit-and-vegetable fast effectively reduces insulin resistance, lowers insulin and estrogen levels, and supports weight loss. This may remove the cause of PCOS and restore normal ovarian function. Weight loss is a basic, non-drug part of PCOS treatment, and its effectiveness has been confirmed by numerous scientific studies.”Post warzywno-owocowy skutecznie redukuje insulinooporność, obniża poziom insuliny i estrogenów oraz wspomaga utratę masy ciała. Dzięki temu możliwe jest usunięcie przyczyny PCOS i przywrócenie prawidłowej funkcji jajników. Utrata masy ciała stanowi podstawowy, niefarmakologiczny element leczenia PCOS – jej skuteczność potwierdzają liczne badania naukowe.

Fasting is said to activate mechanisms that, according to Ewa Dąbrowska, restore fallopian tube patency and fertility.

„Blocked fallopian tubes Blocked fallopian tubes account for up to 30% of infertility cases and are often a reason for in vitro fertilization. A fruit-and-vegetable fast activates the body's natural regenerative mechanisms, such as phagocytosis (the removal of adhesions by scavenger cells) and autophagy (the elimination of damaged cell structures), thereby restoring fallopian tube patency and fertility.”Niedrożność jajowodów Niedrożność jajowodów odpowiada nawet za 30% przypadków niepłodności i często jest wskazaniem do zapłodnienia in vitro. Post warzywno-owocowy aktywuje naturalne mechanizmy regeneracyjne organizmu, takie jak fagocytoza (usuwanie zrostów przez komórki żerne) oraz autofagia (eliminacja uszkodzonych struktur komórkowych), co przywraca drożność jajowodów i płodność.

Fasting is presented as a way to support fertility and, in cases of PCOS, is said to help restore normal ovarian function.

„Infertility – women's health conditions Infertility can be a natural defense mechanism that becomes active when a woman's body is not ready for pregnancy and the development of an embryo could be at risk. A fruit-and-vegetable fast may help restore fertility. Compared with conventional infertility treatments—such as medication, surgery, or in vitro fertilization—a fruit-and-vegetable fast is a natural, non-invasive, and holistic alternative.”Niepłodność – choroby kobieceNiepłodność bywa naturalnym mechanizmem obronnym organizmu, który uaktywnia się w sytuacjach, gdy ciało kobiety nie jest gotowe na ciążę, a rozwój zarodka mógłby być zagrożony.

Blocked fallopian tubes are identified as a cause of some infertility cases and a common reason for using in vitro fertilization.

Fasting is said to help fight infections associated with blocked fallopian tubes and increase the chance of restoring fertility.

„This kind of fast may also help fight infections that often accompany blocked fallopian tubes, increasing the chance of restoring fertility. Miscarriages Miscarriages are one of the most common complications of pregnancy. One possible cause is chronic inflammation, often associated with obesity.”Taki post może również wspomagać zwalczanie infekcji, które często towarzyszą niedrożności, zwiększając szansę na przywrócenie płodności. Poronienia samoistne Poronienia samoistne to jedno z najczęstszych powikłań ciąży. Jedną z ich przyczyn może być przewlekły stan zapalny, nierzadko związany z otyłością.

Fasting is said to support weight loss and restore fatty acid balance, which, according to Ewa Dąbrowska, has a beneficial effect on the health of women who have had recurrent miscarriages.

„A fruit-and-vegetable fast supports weight loss and restores fatty acid balance, which is said to have a very beneficial effect on the health of women who experience recurrent miscarriages. Endometriosis and uterine fibroids are non-cancerous conditions of the reproductive system that can be effectively controlled with a fruit-and-vegetable fast.”Post warzywno-owocowy wspiera redukcję masy ciała i przywraca równowagę kwasów tłuszczowych, co ma bardzo korzystny wpływ na zdrowie kobiet doświadczających nawracających poronień. Endometrioza i mięśniaki macicy to nienowotworowe choroby narządu rodnego, które można skutecznie kontrolować za pomocą postu warzywno-owocowego.
Ewa Dąbrowska

According to Ewa Dąbrowska, endometriosis and uterine fibroids can be controlled with fasting, which is also said to ease pain and reduce endometriosis symptoms.

„Endometriosis and uterine fibroids are non-cancerous conditions of the reproductive system that can be effectively controlled with a fruit-and-vegetable fast. In endometriosis, so-called retrograde menstruation occurs: fragments of the uterine lining move through the fallopian tubes into the abdominal cavity or other organs, where they form areas of inflammation, cysts, adhesions, and scars. Fasting helps ease chronic pain and reduce symptoms of the disease.”Endometrioza i mięśniaki macicy to nienowotworowe choroby narządu rodnego, które można skutecznie kontrolować za pomocą postu warzywno-owocowego. W endometriozie dochodzi do tzw. wstecznej miesiączki – fragmenty błony śluzowej macicy przemieszczają się przez jajowody do jamy otrzewnej lub innych narządów, gdzie tworzą ogniska zapalne, torbiele, zrosty i blizny. Post pomaga łagodzić przewlekły ból i zmniejszyć objawy choroby.

A review found that diets containing fruits and vegetables are associated with better semen quality, although the study findings were not entirely consistent.

Aim of the study: Semen quality and male fertility are declining worldwide. Since it has been observed that diet can influence the normal and abnormal processes of sperm production, the relationship between dietary habits and semen parameters has attracted considerable interest.

Results: Twenty-three observational studies were included. The selected studies involved 8,477 healthy men and 1,204 men attending fertility clinics. Although there were some inconsistencies, possibly because nutrients affect fertile and infertile men differently, the results support the idea that diets containing fruit and vegetables, which provide vitamins, and fish or low-fat dairy products as the main source of protein are associated with better semen quality. Recommendations can be made with confidence because a healthy diet has many benefits, although further studies are needed to clarify the currently inconsistent findings and explain the mechanisms involved.

The review links healthy diets containing fruits and vegetables with better fertility in women and better semen quality in men.

Aim of the study: Over the last decade, research on the relationship between diet and human fertility has expanded considerably, revealing several clear patterns. Taking folic acid supplements, particularly at doses higher than those recommended to prevent neural tube defects, has consistently been linked to a lower frequency of infertility, a lower risk of pregnancy loss, and greater success in infertility treatment.

Results: In fact, soy and soy supplements appear to have a beneficial effect in women undergoing infertility treatment. Similarly, as data from large, high-quality studies continue to accumulate, evidence that moderate alcohol and caffeine intake may harm the ability to become pregnant seems less convincing than it once did. Although our understanding of nutrition's role in fertility is far from complete, much progress has been made. The main gaps in current evidence include considering women's and men's diets together and testing the most consistent findings in randomized trials.

The study found that greater fruit consumption was associated with better semen quality among men attending fertility clinics.

Aim of the study: A range of sociodemographic and lifestyle factors, including dietary habits, shape male fertility. However, few studies have examined these associations in Malaysia. This study investigates the links between dietary habits and sperm quality among male patients attending fertility clinics.

Results: Sperm quality was significantly associated with education level (P = 0.001) and household income (P = 0.017), but not with age or body mass index (BMI). Higher fruit consumption was significantly associated with better sperm quality (aOR = 0.83; 95% CI: 0.73, 0.94; P = 0.004), while frequent fast-food intake was linked to poorer sperm quality (aOR = 1.55; 95% CI: 1.02, 2.35; P = 0.039). Consumption of vegetables, dairy, meat, caffeine, and sugar-sweetened beverages was not significantly associated with sperm quality. This study demonstrates links between dietary habits, socioeconomic factors, and male fertility. Higher fruit intake and socioeconomic status were associated with better sperm quality, whereas fast-food consumption was linked to poorer outcomes. The study reinforces the importance of diet and socioeconomic status in shaping men's reproductive health.

A review found that a diet rich in fruits and vegetables is associated with better semen quality, but its effect on actual infertility treatment outcomes remains unclear.

Aim of the study: Diet and lifestyle interventions offer promising ways to improve male fertility. Our objective was to review and summarize existing observational and experimental human studies on the relationships between diet and recreational drug use, semen quality, and fertility outcomes.

Results: Low-to-moderate caffeine and alcohol intake by men does not appear to harm semen quality. However, high-quality research on this topic, focused on clinical fertility outcomes, should continue given the conflicting evidence, particularly in populations undergoing infertility treatment with assisted reproductive technology. Recreational drug use, including marijuana, electronic cigarettes, and other illicit drugs, does not appear to benefit male reproductive health and should be avoided or stopped. In conclusion, men should be encouraged to eat a healthy diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, low-fat dairy, and seafood, and low in red and processed meats, sweets, and sugar-sweetened beverages. They should also avoid recreational drugs to improve their reproductive health.
