Vitamin B15 — a banned vitamin or a forgotten treasure?

Sources: 6 · Article: 8 647 characters

Jerzy Zięba calls vitamin B15 dimethylglycine, or pangamic acid.

  • Jerzy Zięba attributes several effects to it: a role in the body's reactions, faster oxidation of glucose and fats, improved circulation, support for the immune system, and better concentration.
  • Jerzy Zięba says it is recommended, among other things, for diseases of the skin, joints, and circulatory system, but evidence of its effectiveness is limited.
  • It occurs naturally in some foods, including beef, brewer’s yeast, brown rice, and seeds; it is also available in tablet form.
  • Henryk Różański points out that pangamic acid should not be confused with amygdalin, known as vitamin B17.

Amygdalin, known as vitamin B17, is not the same as vitamin B15, or pangamic acid.

„These claims are supported by many authors. It has not received a favorable opinion from the FDA. It occurs in the seeds of citrus fruits and plums, in almonds, and elsewhere. It should not be confused with vitamin B15, or pangamic acid. More about vitamin B17: https://rozanski.li/?p=1340”Przesłanki te podtrzymywane są przez wielu autorów. Nie uzyskała pozytywnej opinii od FDA. Występuje w pestkach owoców cytrusowych, śliwek, w migdałach i in. Nie należy jej mylić z witaminą B15, czyli kwasem pangamowym (pangamic acid). In bovine embryo culture, dimethylglycine had an antioxidant effect and improved their development to the blastocyst stage.

Aim of the study: The antioxidant effect of N, N-dimethylglycine (DMG) on in vitro-produced (IVP) bovine embryos was examined. After in vitro fertilization, presumptive zygotes were cultured with or without 0.1 μM DMG under different oxygen tensions.

Results: Furthermore, a tendentious increase (P = 0.06) in blastocyst cell numbers was observed when DMG was applied. In the second experiment, addition of H2O2 (0.5 mM) to the culture medium significantly (P < 0.01) reduced the percentage of embryos developing to the blastocyst stage. However, DMG supplementation prevented this reduction. In conclusion, DMG enhanced the invitro development of IVP bovine embryos by acting as an antioxidant.

„However, neither of these are NAD precursors, and so dimethyl fumarate is likely inferior and Tecfidera is more expensive, while beta alanine is a precursor to vitamin B5, so it has additional benefits that have yet to be fully characterized and understood. The data on immediate-release (standard grocery store) niacin remains an unparalleled success in the history of cardiovascular disease trial outcomes. [7,27,28] There is no question about the benefits of plain immediate-release niacin (IRN). While extended-release niacin (ERN/Niaspan) from 1955-1998 may have drawbacks, it is therapeutically beneficial.”However, neither of these are NAD precursors, and so dimethyl fumarate is likely inferior and Tecfidera is more expensive, while beta alanine is a precursor to vitamin B5, so it has additional benefits that have yet to be fully characterized and understood. „Two substances that are especially effective in stripping away biofilms to permit the effective application of anti-pathogen measures are hydrogen peroxide and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). [66-69] When dealing with chronic conditions in the sinuses and pharynx, it is probably best to first nebulize with hydrogen peroxide (1 to 5 cc of 3% peroxide with volume brought up to 10 to 12 cc with filtered water) for about 15 minutes or so, and then follow with nebulization of any of a number of other agents. Alternatively, DMSO can be readily combined with other anti-pathogen agents, such as sodium ascorbate (vitamin C) and magnesium chloride.”Two substances that are especially effective in stripping away biofilms to permit the effective application of anti-pathogen measures are hydrogen peroxide and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO).
