After HPV vaccination, teenage girls and young women reported extreme fatigue, pain, dizziness, fainting, and difficulty walking; some linked these symptoms to POTS.

„The film “Vaccinated Girls” tells the stories of several Danish teenage girls and young women who began reporting serious, long-term symptoms after HPV vaccination (mainly with Gardasil): extreme fatigue, pain, dizziness, fainting, and difficulty walking. Some of them link these problems to conditions such as POTS.”Film „Zaszczepione dziewczęta” przedstawia historie kilku duńskich nastolatek i młodych kobiet, które po szczepieniu przeciw HPV (głównie Gardasilem) zaczęły zgłaszać poważne, przewlekłe objawy: skrajne zmęczenie, bóle, zawroty głowy, omdlenia, problemy z chodzeniem. Część z nich wiąże te dolegliwości z zespołami takimi jak POTS.

The STOP NOP Association lists POTS, chronic fatigue or ME, paralysis, CRPS, premature ovarian insufficiency, and infertility, while also citing a review that found no increased risk of these conditions.

„https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12640735/ – 225 studies, more than 132 million people: HPV vaccination was not associated with an increased risk of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, paralysis, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), premature ovarian insufficiency, or infertility.”https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12640735/ – 225 badań, ponad 132 mln osób: szczepienie HPV nie było związane ze zwiększonym ryzykiem zespołu posturalnej tachykardii ortostatycznej (POTS), zespołu przewlekłego zmęczenia / ME, porażenia, kompleksowego zespołu bólu regionalnego (CRPS), przedwczesnej niewydolności jajników, niepłodności.

The STOP NOP Association cites a claim that some symptoms following HPV vaccination may indicate inflammation of the blood vessels in the brain, as well as serious autoimmune or neurological events.

The STOP NOP Association describes a signal of increased numbers of serious nervous system disorders and general harms, but says that the balance of benefits and risks remains unclear.

„On this basis, it cannot be reliably stated that the HPV vaccine is safe or that its benefits outweigh its risks. In fact, the authors of this meta-analysis confirmed this: “HPV vaccines increased the number of serious nervous system disorders (exploratory analysis) and general harms.” According to the authors, the balance of benefits and risks remains unclear.”Nie można na tej podstawie wiarygodnie stwierdzić, że szczepionka przeciw HPV jest bezpieczna oraz że korzyść przewyższa ryzyko Zresztą potwierdzili to autorzy tej metaanalizy: „szczepionki przeciwko HPV zwiększyły liczbę poważnych zaburzeń układu nerwowego (analiza eksploracyjna) i szkód ogólnych.” Według autorów bilans korzyści i ryzyka pozostaje niejasny.

The lawsuits described against the Gardasil vaccine included allegations of premature ovarian insufficiency leading to infertility, POTS, and autoimmune disorders.

„The plaintiffs alleged, among other things, that the vaccine caused premature ovarian insufficiency leading to infertility, POTS, autoimmune disorders, and other serious conditions. Merck, the manufacturer of the HPV vaccine, had the opportunity to prove the safety of its product in court, but chose instead to settle without admitting liability and pay money. Gardasil Injury Settlement Several safety signals were recently detected in the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), confirming the accounts of Danish girls and the US lawsuits.”Powodowie zarzucali szczepionce m.in. przedwczesną niewydolność jajników prowadzącą do bezpłodności, POTS, zaburzenia autoimmunologiczne i inne poważne. The STOP NOP Association links the aluminum adjuvant in Gardasil to possible allergies, autoimmunity, and neurological, neuroinflammatory, and behavioral effects.

„The Gardasil vaccine contains an enhanced aluminum adjuvant. Many studies document the concerning effects of such adjuvants on the body: cell fate, bioretention, movement to the brain, and numerous adverse effects (allergy, autoimmunity, neurological and neuroinflammatory events, and behavioral changes) in humans and in animal and cell models.”Szczepionka Gardasil zawiera wzmocniony adiuwant aluminiowy. Jest szereg badań dokumentujących niepokojący wpływ takich adiuwantów na organizm: losy komórkowe, bioretencję, translokację do mózgu oraz liczne skutki niepożądane (alergia, autoimmunizacja, zdarzenia neurologiczne i neurozapalne, zmiany behawioralne) u ludzi oraz w modelach zwierzęcych i komórkowych.

The STOP NOP Association notes that EMA/WHO analyses and positions have not confirmed a causal link between the HPV vaccine and the described syndromes, but have not ruled one out either.

„The film is considered highly controversial because later analyses and positions from EMA/WHO reportedly did not confirm a causal link between the HPV vaccine and the described syndromes. They did not confirm it, but they did not rule it out either! Moreover, the studies that “do not confirm” it are questionable in terms of methodology and quality, but more on that shortly. The main arguments: The stories of the Danish girls are reflected in well-documented US lawsuits.”Film uznawany jest za mocno kontrowersyjny, ponieważ późniejsze analizy i stanowiska EMA/WHO miały nie potwierdzać związku przyczynowego między szczepionką HPV a opisywanymi zespołami.

The review describes symptoms reported after vaccination, including chronic fatigue, pain, fainting, and memory problems, but does not prove that the vaccine causes them.

Aim of the study: This article reviews the case series reported from several countries describing patients with suspected severe side effects to the HPV vaccines. The described symptom clusters are remarkably similar and include disabling fatigue, headache, widespread pain, fainting, gastrointestinal dysmotility, limb weakness, memory impairment episodes of altered awareness, and abnormal movements.

Results: It is known that autoimmunity and autoantibodies are present in a subset of patients with CRPS, POTS, SFN, ME/CFS, and fibromyalgia. This article proposes that vaccine-triggered, immune-mediated autonomic dysfunction could lead to the development of de novo post-HPV vaccination syndrome possibly in genetically susceptible individuals. Being cognizant that a temporal relationship between vaccination and symptom onset does not necessarily equate to causality, mounting evidence of case series calls for well-designed case-control studies to determine the prevalence and possible causation between these symptom clusters and HPV vaccines. Since personalized medicine is gaining momentum, the use of adversomics and pharmacogenetics may eventually help identify individuals who are predisposed to HPV vaccine adverse events.

An analysis of reports following the 9-valent vaccine detected signals for POTS, thyroiditis, and eye movement disorders, among other things, but does not establish a causal link on its own.

Aim of the study: GARDASIL 9, a 9-valent HPV vaccine approved in 2014, is widely administered for the prevention of HPV-related malignancies. Although clinical trials demonstrated a favorable safety profile, rare or delayed-onset adverse events may not be captured pre-licensure.

Results: In 57 death reports, neurological terms showed signal elevation but lacked consistent etiologic patterns. No positive signals were detected in the 18 pregnancy-associated reports. This VAERS-based analysis supports the established safety of GARDASIL 9 while highlighting rare signals that warrant further investigation. Given the limitations of passive surveillance, integration with active monitoring systems is essential to refine safety profiles and support ongoing public health vaccination efforts.

In the survey, some vaccinated girls reported adverse effects, most commonly reactions at the injection site.

Aim of the study: As part of an evaluation of the introductory campaign of human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccine in a Scottish health board, self-administered questionnaires were offered to all 5007 eligible girls in school following the third dose of HPV to identify side-effects, reasons for non-vaccination and future cervical screening intentions, and 2775 (56.2%) replied.

Results: Reasons for not planning to take up cervical smear were lack of knowledge about cervical screening, anticipated discomfort or embarrassment with the process and no perceived need for a cervical smear. Unvaccinated girls were less likely to report planning to attend for cervical smears in later life (Yates chi-square = 24.30, p < 0.001). The findings emphasise the importance of information on safety and efficacy in future communications about HPV with schoolage girls. The relationship between vaccination and screening intention, and its implications for widening the gap in health inequalities, also requires careful attention in local implementation of the national HPV vaccination programme.

The meta-analysis found a possible increase in the risk of miscarriage during some exposure periods, but not during every period analyzed or for every vaccine.

Aim of the study: To assess whether the peri-conceptional or pregnancy exposure of human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination would increase the risk of spontaneous abortion.

Results: Seven observational studies were eligible and all studies were low risk of bias. Meta-analyses suggested that 2vHPV vaccination did not increase the risk of spontaneous abortion regardless of exposure period during 90 days before last menstrual period (LMP) or pregnancy: risk ratio, 95% confidence intervals (RR, 95% CI), 1.15 (0.95-1.39), and 45 days before LMP or pregnancy: 1.28 (0.96-1.70). However, 2vHPV vaccination during Pre-45 days to LMP seemed to increase the risk of spontaneous abortion: 1.59 (1.04-2.45). The current evidence did not support the association between 4vHPV vaccination and spontaneous abortion regardless of exposure period during 45 days before LMP or pregnancy: 0.88 (0.73-1.06); and 45 days before LMP: 1.00 (0.80-1.24). Additionally, 9vHPV during within 30 days of conception also seemed to increase the risk: 2.04 (1.28-3.24).

„The US Food and Drug Administration's Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System receives around 11,000 serious adverse reaction reports each year, mostly from doctors. (7) FDA states that "VAERS tracks serious vaccine reactions, not common fevers and soreness from shots. Serious reactions include death, life-threatening illness, hospitalization, and disability resulting from a vaccine." (8) However, FDA admits that they probably receive reports for only about 10 percent of all adverse vaccine reactions. (9) The National Vaccine Information Center estimates the reporting percentage to be far lower, perhaps under 3 percent.”The US Food and Drug Administration's Vaccine Adverse Effect Reporting System receives around 11,000 serious adverse reaction reports each year, mostly from doctors.
