Henryk Różański recommends a devil’s claw decoction: four cups a day for 30–60 days.
- He also mentions decoctions of yellow rattle, lousewort or cow-wheat, taken four times a day for 1–2 months, and a mixture of angelica, meadowsweet and poplar or willow.
- Hubert Czerniak recommends remedies made from devil’s claw, yellow rattle, lousewort or cow-wheat, as well as preparations containing ginger and natural vitamin C.
What the authors write
Hubert Czerniak
Hubert Czerniak lists an injection of collagen into the joint and preparations containing chondroitin, hyaluronic acid, ginger and natural vitamin C as symptomatic treatments.
„For symptomatic treatment, one could use an injection of collagen into the joint. It costs a bit, but it is really effective. Alternatively, one could take various preparations containing chondroitin sulfate, hyaluronic acid, ginger rhizome extract and natural vitamin C.”Z leków objawowych należałoby wspomóc się wstrzyknięciem kolagenu do stawu, co trochę kosztuje, ale jest naprawdę skuteczne. Ewentualnie przyjmowaniem różnych preparatów z siarczanem chondroityny, kwasem hialuronowym, ekstraktem z kłącza imbiru, naturalną witaminą C.
Hubert Czerniak
Hubert Czerniak recommends ADEK vitamins, diet, supplementation, rehabilitation and treatment with constant magnetic fields.
„But ADEK vitamins are also necessary, and then we stop the inflammatory process. Since this disease is associated with pain, these parts should be warmed, and they are often small joints.
We must not forget the digestive tract, because dysbiosis is one of the causes at the very beginning.”Ale konieczne są też witaminy z grupy ADEK i wtedy zatrzymujemy proces zapalny. Ponieważ ta choroba łączy się z bólem, należy rozgrzać te elementy, a często są to małe stawy.
Nie wolno zapomnieć o przewodzie pokarmowym, bo elementem sprawczym na samym początku jest dysbioza.
Hubert Czerniak
Hubert Czerniak links the onset of the disease to gut dysbiosis and claims that preservatives and disrupted gut flora make arthritis harder to treat.
„We must not forget the digestive tract, because dysbiosis is one of the causes at the very beginning. It is caused by a change in the proportions of bacteria in the intestines, leading them to produce more acetates than butyrates. If we consume preservatives every day, we are destroying our own bodies.”Nie wolno zapomnieć o przewodzie pokarmowym, bo elementem sprawczym na samym początku jest dysbioza. Tą wywołuje zmiana procentowego składu bakterii w jelitach, doprowadzająca do tego, że produkują one więcej octanów niż maślanów. Jeśli codziennie spożywamy konserwanty, to zabijamy własny organizm.
Henryk Różański
Hubert Czerniak recommends a decoction of devil’s claw root, the herbs yellow rattle, lousewort or cow-wheat, and a mixture of angelica, meadowsweet and poplar or willow as anti-inflammatory remedies.
„Anti-inflammatory action – Antiphlogistica
I recommend adding anti-inflammatory remedies to the set of immunostimulants (choose 1):
1. Radix Harpagophyti – devil’s claw root, rich in iridoids, triterpenes and flavonoids – 1 g per cup of water; bring to a boil, leave for 30 minutes, then strain.”Działanie przeciwzapalne – Antiphlogistica
Do zestawu środków immunostymulujących polecam dołożyć środki przeciwzapalne (1 do wyboru):
1. Radix Harpagophyti – korzeń hakorośli, bogaty w irydoidy, triterpeny i flawooidy – 1 g/filiżankę wody, zagotować, odstawić na 30 minut, przecedzić.
Henryk Różański
Henryk Różański gives the dose of devil’s claw decoction as four cups a day for 30–60 days.
„Four cups of decoction a day are necessary. Chopped root is available abroad in drugstores, for example in Switzerland. It has an anti-inflammatory effect on nerves, joints and muscles. It has a slight pain-relieving effect. It protects the liver. Use for 30–60 days, depending on the severity of the symptoms.”Konieczne 4 filiżanki wywaru dziennie. Korzeń rozdrobniony dostępny za granicą w drogeriach, np. w Szwajcarii. Wpływa przeciwzapalnie na nerwy, stawy, mięśnie. Działa troszkę przeciwbólowo. Chroni wątrobę. Stosować przez 30-60 dni, zależnie od nasilenia objawów.
Henryk Różański
Henryk Różański recommends a decoction of yellow rattle, lousewort or cow-wheat four times a day for 1–2 months.
„Use for 1–2 months as a decoction or extract. Prepare the decoction with 3 g of herb per 200 ml of water; bring to a boil, leave for 30 minutes, then strain. Drink 1 cup (about 100 ml) 4 times a day. Also wash skin lesions with it before applying echinacea or phytoncide ointment (see below).”Stosować 1-2 miesiące w formie wywaru lub intraktu.
Henryk Różański states that the uses of an infusion of seven-flowered solomon’s seal include rheumatism and systemic autoimmune diseases; he also lists nausea, frequent urination, diarrhea and abdominal pain as side effects.
„Uses: rheumatism, arthritis, systemic and skin autoimmune diseases (psoriasis, pemphigus, granulomatosis, Hashimoto’s disease); high risk of colon cancer; swelling and enlargement of the prostate gland; inflammation of the testes and ovaries, inflammation of the uterus, including endometriosis, polycystic ovaries; skin and systemic allergic conditions; swelling, lymph stagnation; poisoning; bile stagnation; inflammatory conditions of the respiratory system.”Wskazania: reumatyzm, artretyzm, choroby autoimmunologiczne układowe i skórne (łuszczyca, pęcherzyca, ziarnica, choroba Hashimoto); duże ryzyko wystąpienia nowotworu jelita grubego; obrzęk i przerost gruczołu krokowego; zapalenie jąder i jajników, zapalenie macicy, w tym endometrioza, jajniki policystyczne; stany alergiczne skóry i układowe; obrzęki, zastoje limfy; zatrucia; zastoje żółci; stany zapalne układu oddechowego.
Henryk Różański
For joint pain, Henryk Różański mentions a preparation made from ash, rue and aspen poplar, as well as Phytodolor and bromelain from pineapple.
„Pain, back pain, bone pain, joint pain

Jerzy Zięba
Jerzy Zięba claims that a naturopathic approach can permanently cure rheumatoid arthritis, but does not describe a specific remedy.
„After all, a naturopathic approach can permanently cure many diseases considered incurable, including cancer. If you know how to use naturopathy, you can permanently cure, for example, Hashimoto’s disease or other thyroid conditions, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, asthma, lupus, allergies, gastroesophageal reflux disease, as well as cancer and many other conditions.”Stosując podejście naturoterapeutyczne, wylecza się przecież trwale wiele chorób uchodzących za nieuleczalne, z nowotworami włącznie. Wiedząc, w jaki sposób zastosować naturoterapię, można na trwałe wyleczyć np. chorobę Hashimoto czy inne schorzenia tarczycy, łuszczycę, reumatoidalne zapalenie stawów, osteoporozę, astmę, toczeń, alergię, chorobę refluksową żołądka, jak również nowotwory i wiele innych.
Michał Tombak
Michał Tombak attributes rheumatoid arthritis to the presence of parasites in the body.
„No matter what we call a given disease: ulcerative colitis, gastritis caused by Helicobacter pylori, chronic sinusitis, rheumatoid arthritis, arthritis, prostatitis or colon cancer, the main cause of the disease is the presence of parasites in the body. Nature has equipped humans with a defense system that protects them from disease—it is the immune system.”Niezależnie jak nazwiemy daną jednostkę chorobową: wrzodziejące zapalenie jelita grubego, zapalenie żołądka wywołane przez Helicobacter pylori, chroniczne zapalenie zatok, reumatoidalne zapalenie stawów, artretyzm, zapalenie gruczołu krokowego czy rak jelita grubego, główną przyczyną choroby jest obecność w organizmie pasożytów.Przyroda zaopatrzyła człowieka w system obronny chroniący go przed chorobami – jest nim układ odpornościowy.
Henryk Różański
Henryk Różański describes the historical use of powdered rhizomes of certain Arum species with honey for rheumatism.
„Arum esculentum L., Arum italicum Miller and Arum dracunculus L. provided rhizomes which, after being powdered, were given for rheumatism, bronchitis and tuberculosis, in a single dose of 5–20 grains (not grams!!!). The powdered herb was mixed with honey.”Arum esculentum L., Arum italicum Miller i Arum dracunculus L. dostarczały kłącze, które po sproszkowaniu było podawane przy reumatyzmie, zapaleniu oskrzeli, gruźlicy, w dawce jednorazowej 5-20 granów (nie gramy!!!). Sproszkowany surowiec mieszano z miodem.
Hubert Czerniak
Hubert Czerniak claims that rheumatoid arthritis is usually treated symptomatically and is caused by antibodies attacking joint cartilage.
„However, when the body begins to see itself as an enemy, it starts producing antibodies against parts of the joint—specifically, the cartilage. The antibodies cause inflammation, which leads to redness, swelling, pain and impaired function.
When an older person goes to the doctor with joint problems, they hear the word “degeneration.””Jednak, gdy organizm zaczyna postrzegać sam siebie jako wroga, zaczyna wytwarzać przeciwciała przeciw właśnie tym elementom stawu – chrząstkom. Przeciwciała wywołują zapalenie, a więc zaczerwienienie, obrzęk, ból i zaburzenie funkcji.
Gdy przychodzi starszy człowiek do lekarza i ma problemy ze stawami, słyszy „zwyrodnienie”.

A review found that dietary polyphenols may improve disease activity and inflammatory markers in RA.
Aim of the study: To evaluate safety and efficacy of dietary polyphenols in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
Results: A total of 49 records (47 RCTs) were finally included, involving 3852 participants and 15 types of dietary polyphenols (Cinnamon extract, Cranberry extract, Crocus sativus L. extract, Curcumin, Garlic extract, Ginger extract, Hesperidin, Olive oil, Pomegranate extract, Puerarin, Quercetin, Resveratrol, Sesamin, Tea polyphenols, Total glucosides of paeony). Pomegranate extract, Resveratrol, Garlic extract, Puerarin, Hesperidin, Ginger extract, Cinnamon extract, Sesamin only involve in 1 RCT. Cranberry extract, Crocus sativus L. extract, Olive oil, Quercetin, Tea polyphenols involve in 2 RCTs. Total glucosides of paeony and Curcumin involve in more than 3 RCTs. These RCTs showed that these dietary polyphenols could improve disease activity score for 28 joints (DAS28), inflammation levels or oxidative stress levels in RA. The addition of dietary polyphenols did not increase adverse events.

A meta-analysis found that East Asian herbal medicines improved pain and other clinical outcomes and were associated with fewer adverse events than conventional medicines.
Aim of the study: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that leads to a significant social burden. East Asian herbal medicine (EAHM) has long been used to treat RA. Therefore, a systematic study of how EAHM treatments can be developed into new drugs using specific materials is needed.
Results: A total of 186 trials involving 19,716 patients with RA met the inclusion criteria. According to the meta-analysis, EAHM had a significantly superior effect on continuous pain intensity, tender joint count, and response rate. Patients treated with EAHM had a significantly reduced incidence of adverse events compared with those treated with CM. Based on additional analysis of the EAHM formula data included in this meta-analysis, 21 core materials and five core herbal combinations were identified. EAHM remedies for RA have the adequate potential for use as candidate materials for treating inflammatory pain in RA. The candidate core herbs evaluated in this study act on multiple pathways and are expected to provide pain relief, sustained inflammation suppression, immune regulation, and prevention of joint destruction. It seems worthwhile to conduct follow-up research on drug development using the core materials derived from this review.

Adding a Tripterygium wilfordii preparation to methotrexate was associated with a better treatment response and improvement in several RA symptoms.
Aim of the study: Extracts of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TwHF), a traditional Chinese herbal medicine, have been widely used for treating rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in combination with methotrexate (MTX) in China for several decades. However, the efficacy and safety of MTX plus TwHF treatment remain unclear.
Results: Six randomized controlled trials were included in the final analysis with a total of 643 patients. All trials added TwHF (in the form of Tripterygium glycosides) to the MTX-based therapy. For efficacy, the addition of TwHF increased 50% responder rates (RR) (RR 1.337, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.188-1.505, P<0.001), and it reduced swollen and tender joint counts, shortened the duration of morning stiffness, decreased the erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and decreased the level of C-reactive protein and rheumatoid factor. For safety, the addition of TwHF did not increase the rate of adverse events (RR 0.824, 95% CI: 0.635-1.068, P=0.143).

A review found that curcumin and turmeric extract may relieve symptoms and inflammation in arthritis, although the results should be interpreted with caution.
Aim of the study: Modern pharmacological research found that the chemical components of Curcuma longa L. are mainly curcumin and turmeric volatile oil. Several recent randomized controlled trials (RCT) have shown that curcumin improves symptoms and inflammation in patients with arthritis.
Results: Twenty-nine (29) RCTs involving 2396 participants and 5 types of arthritis were included. The arthritis included Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS), Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Osteoarthritis (OA), Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and gout/hyperuricemia. Curcumin and Curcuma longa Extract were administered in doses ranging from 120 mg to 1500 mg for a duration of 4-36 weeks. In general, Curcumin and Curcuma longa Extract showed safety in all studies and improved the severity of inflammation and pain levels in these arthritis patients. However, more RCTs are needed in the future to elucidate the effect of Curcumin and Curcuma longa Extract supplementation in patients with arthritis, including RA, OA, AS and JIA. Curcumin and Curcuma longa Extract may improve symptoms and inflammation levels in people with arthritis. However, due to the low quality and small quantity of RCTs, the conclusions need to be interpreted carefully.
