Multiple sclerosis — can diet and vitamin D change the course of the disease?

Sources: 3 · Article: 5 373 characters

Jerzy Jaśkowski cites a study in which taking 50,000 IU of vitamin D for six months was said to result in a remission of MS lasting almost six years.

  • He also describes the case of a 17-year-old girl whose symptoms improved after her vitamin D-3 dose was increased to 20,000 IU per day, and a follow-up MRI showed the “disappearance” of signs of the disease.
  • At the same time, he recommends vitamin K-2 and about 200 g of a raw salad made with cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts per day.

The same description of the study points to a link between higher 25 OHD levels and a slower course of MS.

„The study led to the following conclusions: The higher the 25 OHD level during the first 12 months, the slower the course of the disease. After 5 years, brain atrophy was found to be much less pronounced in people with higher 25 OHD levels. Less disability was also observed.”Z badania można było wyciągnąć następujące wnioski: Im wyższe stężenie 25 OHD w pierwszych 12 miesiącach, tym wolniejszy przebieg choroby.

The authors of the study described considered vitamin D-3 to have a protective effect in the treatment of MS.

„According to the authors, vitamin D-3 has a protective effect in the treatment of MS. This scientific paper was described in an official government publication, the National Institute of Health. It is puzzling why neurologists in Poland avoid ordering a 25 OHD test.”Jak twierdzą autorzy, witamina D-3 wykazuje ochronne działanie w procesie leczenia SM. Ta praca naukowa została opisana w oficjalnym wydawnictwie rządowym, National Institute of Health. Zastanawiające jest, dlaczego lekarze neurolodzy w Polsce unikają wykonania badania 25 OHD?

A study was cited in which taking 50,000 IU for six months was said to result in remission lasting almost six years.

„Another scientific paper shows that taking a dose of 50,000 IU for 6 months resulted in practically 6 years of remission. Of course, one should remember to take vitamin K-2 at the same time, at about 500 mcg per day. One should also add raw salads with cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts, with peas, etc., to the diet.”Inna praca naukowa dowodzi, że podawanie dawki 50 000 UI przez 6 miesięcy, spowodowało praktycznie 6-letnią remisję. Oczywiście nie należy zapominać o przyjmowaniu jednocześnie witaminy K-2 w ilości ok. 500 mcg dziennie. Należy także, do diety włączyć surówki z kalafiora, brokułów i brukselki z groszkiem itd.

In the case report of a 17-year-old girl, MS symptoms improved after her vitamin D-3 dose was increased to 20,000 IU per day.

„The MS symptoms began to subside, her fatigue eased, her energy returned, and she began studying normally. The change was dramatic and surprising. A follow-up MRI performed in 2013 showed the “disappearance” of signs of the disease. The doctor describing the MRI even said that, if he had not had the earlier scan from 2007, he would never have believed that the child had been ill.”Objawy SM zaczęły ustępować, zmęczenie osłabło, wróciła jej energia, zaczęła normalnie uczyć się.

In this account, a follow-up MRI showed the “disappearance” of signs of the disease.

„A follow-up MRI performed in 2013 showed the “disappearance” of signs of the disease. The doctor describing the MRI even said that, if he had not had the earlier scan from 2007, he would never have believed that the child had been ill. He could not believe this had happened just by taking 20,000 IU of vitamin D-3 per day.”Kolejne badanie rezonansu magnetycznego wykonane w 2013 roku wykazało „zniknięcie” objawów choroby.

At a dose of 50,000 units per day for six months, a halt in MS—and even its reversal—was reported after four to five years.

„Scientific studies are available on people with multiple sclerosis who were treated with a dose of 50,000 per day for 6 months. They report that after 4–5 years, the disease stops progressing and may even reverse.

Jerzy Jaśkowski also recommends vitamin K-2 and about 200 g of a raw salad made with cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts per day.

„Of course, one should remember to take vitamin K-2 at the same time, at about 500 mcg per day. One should also add raw salads with cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts, with peas, etc., dressed with mayonnaise or sour cow’s milk. These vegetables provide vitamin K-2. One should eat about 200 g of this kind of salad per day.”Oczywiście nie należy zapominać o przyjmowaniu jednocześnie witaminy K-2 w ilości ok. 500 mcg dziennie.

MS was described as a disease with an unpredictable course in which the immune system attacks the protective coverings of nerves.

„Let me remind you that MS is a disease of the central nervous system with an unpredictable course, which disrupts communication between the brain and other parts of the body. It is currently considered an autoimmune disease, meaning that our body’s immune system mistakenly attacks myelin, the protective covering of nerves.”Przypomnę, SM jest chorobą centralnego układu nerwowego o nieprzewidywalnym przebiegu, która zakłóca komunikację pomiędzy mózgiem a innymi częściami ciała.

Jerzy Jaśkowski announces a discussion of how vitamin D-3 is said to help with multiple sclerosis.

„In the previous issue of Harmonia, I described why vitamin D is essential for life. Today I would like to discuss how vitamin D-3 helps with a condition known as multiple sclerosis.”W poprzednim numerze Harmonii opisywałem, dlaczego witamina D jest niezbędna do życia.

Piotr Witczak states generally that an appropriate diet and supplementation can support the treatment of a chronic disease.

„…heavy metal detoxification, an appropriate diet and supplementation can support conventional therapies for treating a chronic disease you have been struggling with for years? …heavy metal detoxification can be beneficial even if you consider yourself healthy, for example.”…detoksykacja metali ciężkich, odpowiednia dieta i suplementacja może wspomóc terapie konwencjonalne w leczeniu choroby przewlekłej, z którą zmagasz się od lat?
