Game strategy
You already know the moves. Here you will learn how to think during a game: what to do in the opening, how to keep your king safe, how to win pieces and how to finish won games. Each topic is a short explanation and a few tasks on the board. A wrong move gets taken back with a hint; after a good move I explain why it works.
Topics: {n}. Each takes 3–6 minutes. Start with the first one.
Play a game
Two people at one screen or the Stockfish computer with 7 levels, from first steps to master. Coach mode rates every move you make, Adaptive mode picks the level by itself. A hint shows a good move and explains why.
Who do you play?
Computer level
Mode
A normal game at the chosen level. A hint is available on request.
Which colour do you play?
The coach tells you about check and threats. The “Hint” button shows a good move and explains why.
The game saves itself after every move.
Saved games
Every game saves itself after each move, so you can stop and come back later — also on another device, because when signed in your games are on your account. Here you find all games: resume, give a name, copy the record or delete. A guest's games are kept only in this browser.
No saved games yet. Play a game in the “Play” tab — it saves itself.
Game review
Finish a game or pick one in the Saved tab and click “Review”. The computer checks every move and shows what to learn.
